The City of Laramie Mosquito Control has scheduled the application of granular larvicide in order to control larval mosquitoes in rural areas around the city. Based on surveillance data, the thresholds have been reached to begin fogging operations to control mosquitos. Summer is upon us, and the Wyoming Department of Health is urging residents to take steps to avoid mosquito and tick bites.

The larvicide will be spread so as to get rid of the mosquito larva around the rural areas of the city

Should the weather prohibit this from happening, there is a backup date of Monday, May 25.

The City of Laramie will begin mosquito fogging in residential areas beginning in the evening on Monday, June 4.

With the arrival of spring, the City of Laramie is also anticipating the arrival of mosquitoes.
