A Wyoming native and graduate of the University of Wyoming is the new Athletics and Activities Director at Laramie High School.

Albany County School District No. 1 is sponsoring the Summer Food Service Program again for youth in the community. It will run eight weeks this summer.

Laramie High School’s search for a new Activities/Athletics Director has begun after the Albany County School District No. 1 School Board approved a new position last Wednesday.

According to documents filed in U.S. District Court on April 18, both ACSD No. 1 and the plaintiff, a former Albany County resident, filed for the lawsuit to be dismissed with prejudice – meaning the lawsuit is permanently dismissed and can’t be brought back to court.

A threat by a Laramie middle school student via social media Sunday has been deemed not credible by local law enforcement Monday morning.

Albany County School District No. 1 elementary school kindergarten registration will be available Monday, April 16 through Friday, April 20 during regular school hours.

The Wyoming Department of Education released data on high school graduation rates across the state. While Albany County's numbers were comparable with the state average, the school district is looking to student engagement and career readiness strategies to boost graduation numbers.

The Albany County School District No. 1 says the portraits, which have been a tradition since 2005, violate district policies.
