Things are starting to settle down a little bit in the latest WyoPreps.com Coaches and Media Football Poll.

The five No. 1 ranked teams stay the same as last week’s rankings. There are only three new teams to the poll, and one class has no change.

Thunder Basin remains atop the Class 4A rankings for a third straight week. The Bolts received all 19 first-place votes. Sheridan moves back up to second, while Natrona County moves up one spot to No. 3. After their double-overtime loss to NC, the Cheyenne East Thunderbirds fall to fourth. Cheyenne Central holds at No. 5 for a third straight week.

There are no changes in Class 3A this week. Star Valley is still a unanimous pick for No. 1. Cody is second, followed by Jackson, Douglas, and Powell rounding out the top five.

Mountain View has widened its margin for No. 1 in Class 2A. The Buffaloes received nine first-place votes. The other three went to Buffalo in second. Thermopolis moved up a spot, despite the Bobcats’ loss to Mountain View last Friday. Lovell moves up a spot to No. 4, while the Big Piney Punchers make their debut in this year’s poll at fifth.

In Class 1A, Big Horn tightened its hold on the top spot after last Friday night’s victory at previous No. 2 Upton-Sundance. The Rams received all but one first-place vote. Cokeville has moved to the second spot, as the Patriots fall to third following the loss to Big Horn. Rocky Mountain is fourth, while the Southeast Cyclones make their debut in the 2019 rankings at No. 5.

The top three are unchanged in the 6-Man balloting. Little Snake River is first. Farson-Eden is second, and H.E.M. is third. Hulett jumps back into the rankings at No. 4. Kaycee is alone in fifth this week.
