While there are no new teams in this week’s WyoPreps.com Coaches and Media Football Poll, there is some movement in three of the four classes.

The 25 teams that are ranked didn’t change, but their order in all but Class 3A did.

The No. 1 ranked teams continue to be Thunder Basin, Star Valley, Mountain View, Big Horn, and Little Snake River. Three of those schools are a unanimous choice for the top spot.

The Bolts remain the pick in Class 4A. This is their sixth straight week atop the big school division. Sheridan remains at No. 2. Cheyenne East has moved into third and is followed by cross-town rival Cheyenne Central at No. 4. After last week’s loss to Central, Natrona County falls two spots to fifth.

Star Valley has been on top of Class 3A all season, and it remains that way. The Braves received all 17 first-place votes. This is the only classification with no change this week. After a loss to Star Valley, the Cody Broncs are still the main choice for the second spot. Jackson holds at No. 3, followed by Lander and Powell.

In Class 2A, the top three are the same, and there’s just a swap of spots between the bottom two teams in the rankings. Mountain View is No. 1 again. This is the fifth consecutive week the Buffaloes top the poll. Buffalo is second, but only six points back in the balloting. Thermopolis holds at No. 3. Burns moves up a spot to fourth, which drops Big Piney to fifth. Three other schools received votes in the 2A top five.

Not much change in Class 1A other than a break of a tie. Big Horn is close to a unanimous pick for No. 1. Upton-Sundance and Cokeville stay second and third, respectively. After last week’s head-to-head match-up and victory, Southeast is alone in fourth. Wright falls out of the tie and drops to fifth by themselves.

In 6-Man, it’s just a small change in the middle. Little Snake River received all 13 first-place votes. H.E.M. holds at No. 2 with Hulett moving up a spot to third. Farson-Eden falls to fourth after their second straight loss. Lingle-Fort Laramie holds onto the fifth spot, but four other teams picked up votes in this week’s poll.
