The Laramie High School boy soccer team defeated Cheyenne East 3-0 in Laramie Thursday as rain turned into snow at the Laramie Community Soccer fields.

Senior forward Dillon Barbour gave an assist to fellow senior forward Andrew Johnson before adding two goals of his own. Barbour and Johnson are now second and third in the state in goals scored with seven and six, respectively.

“Andrew Johnson and Dillon Barbour have kind of been going toe-to-toe this season with seven goals for Barbour and six for Johnson, so they have a friendly rivalry going on, which is a good thing for us.” -Coach Andy Pannell

All three of Laramie's goals came in the second half of play going into the west goal, which is the same goal the Plainsmen poured five goals into when they beat Gillette 5-1.

LHS head coach Andy Pannell commended his goalie, Amen, for the shutout. Laramie has still only allowed four goals this season, the best in the state.

The Plainsmen (6-1-2, 4-0-2) will continue conference play Saturday at home when they take on Cheyenne Central at noon.
