Laramie Police are saying there are no new developments in the case of an attempted abduction of a 3-year-old child in Laramie on Monday.

According to Laramie Police Lt. Gwendolyn Smith, no new information is available on the case, but does say that Laramie P.D. believes that there is no danger to the community.

Just before 1:00 pm on Monday, May 13, Laramie police report that a man approached a child who was playing in an open yard on the 2400 block of North 9th Street in Laramie.  The man allegedly grabbed the child and attempted to leave the yard, but the child's caretaker called out to the suspect, then the suspect let the child go and walked away.

The suspect is described as being Caucasian or Hispanic, approximately 5' 10", stocky build, with a dark tan and short, black wavy hair.  He was reported as wearing a grey t-shirt, black lace-up boots and blue jeans.  The suspect is also said to have had a few days worth of facial stubble or a short beard.
