A single vehicle motorcycle crash led to the 20th highway fatality in Wyoming for 2015.

According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, 35-year-old William E. Welsbacher of Wheatland, Wyoming, was on Wyoming Highway 320 on a 2005 Harley-Davidson Motorcycle On March 15. The crash occurred at 4:45 p.m. near mile post eight on WY 320, approximately eight miles north of Wheatland.

According to a release from Highway Patrol, Welsbacher was travelling south and failed to negotiate a right hand curve in the road and left the highway to the east. After leaving the roadway, Welsbacher lost control of the motorcycle as it rolled and tumbled. Welsbacher separated from the motorcycle and sustained fatal injuries on scene. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Excessive speed and alcohol use are being investigated as contributing factors in this crash.
