LHS Mock Trial Team Gears Up For National Competition [VIDEO]

The Laramie High School Mock Trial teams showed their strength last November in sweeping first and second place at the state level.

Now this elite group of students from LHS are preparing for the National High School Mock Trial tournament next month in Reno, NV.

Students Jordan Mendick and Maggie Branch, along with Teacher coach Whitney Martin and Attorney coach James Learned were recent guests during the “Laramie Live on KOWB” radio morning show with host David Settle. They discussed how the competition went last fall, their preparation for the national tournament, fundraising and so much more.

The NHSMT tournament is May 10-12 in Reno. If you would like to see these students in action, they will be hosting dress rehearsals May 1, 2 and 7 at the UW College of Law Moot courtroom at 6 p.m. each of those days.
