The Laramie High School volleyball team couldn't keep up with Cheyenne East on Tuesday night, losing 25-22, 24-26, 25-18, 25-20.

LHS looked like they had swung the momentum their way after rattling off eight straight points to come back and win the second set 26-24, but the Lady T-Birds had other ideas. East began the third set on an 11-0 run, sparked by three kills and a block from Sally Sanders. In the fourth set a change at libero from Reilley Baty to Darby Lamb still did not provide the passing consistency Head Coach Trisha Witkop says her team is capable of.

"They are all good passers," commented Witkop after the match. "They just need to go out there and play with confidence and play together."

Laramie was led by Madison Legerski with 21 kills and 18 digs. Emily Pearson tallied up 33 digs and Lily Gabriel added 16 kills while Jamie Rhodine put up 39 assists. Laramie falls to 1-5 in 4A East Conference play and 12-11 overall. The Lady Plainsmen will travel back to Cheyenne on Saturday to take on the Central Lady Indians at noon. KOWB will have live coverage with Kari Eakins.
