Two recent matches and two more wins the Laramie Lady Plainsmen volleyball team, who remains undefeated on the season.

Laramie (13-0, 4-0) is the only school in the state without a loss in volleyball this year.

Last Saturday, LHS went on the road to play an interclass match at 3A No. 4 Douglas and swept the Bearcats by scores of 25-21, 25-17, and 25-16.

Head coach Jill Stucky stressed this as a great chance for her team to improve, and she felt they responded.

“We had a great opportunity to play a high-level team and we took advantage of it. We had an outstanding ‘serve and pass’ day.”

Alexis Stucky had 18 kills and 15 digs for the Lady Plainsmen. Halley Feezer and Morgann Jensen added seven kills apiece.

On Tuesday night in Cheyenne, LHS stayed perfect with a 3-0 victory in conference quadrant action over Cheyenne South. The scores of the match were 25-22, 25-10, 25-13.

Alexis Stucky had 19 kills and 12 digs. The offense was spread out after that. Anna Gatlin contributed seven kills, while Maddy Stucky, Morgann Jensen, and Noel Jensen had five kills each. Maddy Stucky added 29 assists, Gatlin had three blocks, and Taylor Tyser finished with a team-high 23 digs. LHS also had nine service aces, four of which were by Feezer.
