The Laramie Plainsmen seek their first victory of the season, as they host Evanston Friday night at Deti Stadium.

It's Homecoming week for LHS, and there's a Deti Stadium celebration that goes along with Friday night's game.

Laramie (0-3) will try for their second straight win in the series after last year's 35-20 in Evanston. The Plainsmen are looking for their first back-to-back wins over the Red Devils since 2000-2001.

Evanston (1-2) is coming off losses to Gillette and Sheridan. They opened with a win at home over South three weeks ago.

The match-up is fairly even from a statistical stand-point. The two offenses rank 9th and 10th in 4A with LHS producing 10 yards more per game. The two defenses are in the middle of the pack, with a slight edge to the Red Devils. They allow about 27 yards less per game.

Evanston likes to run the ball, while Laramie may try to counter with their aerial attack.

Plainsmen head coach Chuck Syverson joins KOWB's David Settle, the voice of the Laramie Plainsmen, for a game preview. They discuss keeping the team focused; the importance of a win here; preview the opponent; and the stadium celebration with alumni in attendance.

Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. at Deti Stadium. The alumni recognition ceremony will start at 6:30 p.m.

KOWB (AM 1290) will broadcast the game. Join David Settle and VerDon Hoopes, as they call the action. Coverage will start at 5:30 p.m.
