The Laramie Colts and Ft. Collins Foxes finished their rained out game from Sunday and played their already scheduled game on Tuesday night in a doubleheader format at Cowboy Field.

The action picked where it had been stopped on Sunday due to rain, in the middle of the third inning, with the Colts up 1-0. The Foxes scored 9 runs in the fourth inning to blaze to a 10-1 win.

Ft. Collins was not able to keep the momentum going into the second game as Laramie scored 2 runs in the bottom of the first inning. Both teams went scoreless the rest of the way and the Colts won 2-0 to move to 8-6 on the season.

Dan Maurer picked up the win for the Colts in the later game. He pitched all 7 innings and had 6 strikeouts while giving up 3 hits. James Threw and Anthony Razos each had a hit. Mickey Phelps went 0-1, but was hit by a pitch, walked, stole 2 bases and scored a run for Laramie.

Kory Kiro took the loss for the Foxes in 4 plus innings on the mound. Kiro had on strikeout, allowed 2 earned runs on 2 hits and issued 4 walks. Luke Bell relieved Kiro for the final 2 innings and had 1 strikeout. Alex Padilla, Ryan Javech and Travis Parsons each had 1 hit for Ft. Collins.

On Wednesday the Colts will play the Foxes in Ft. Collins at 6:35 pm. Laramie will be back at Cowboy Field on Thursday to play the Cheyenne Grizzlies at 6:35 PM.
