It’s back on the road for the next two games for the Laramie Plainsmen football team. The first stop is in Casper tonight (Oct. 4) as LHS takes on the fourth-ranked Natrona County Mustangs. Laramie is 1-4 on the season and has dropped its last two games. NC is 2-3 this year, but they have lost three in a row entering this matchup. The game starts at 6 p.m. at Cheney Alumni Field in Casper.

Laramie head coach Jake Chick told KOWB’s David Settle his thoughts on his team in the middle of the 2024 season, how they are refocusing, playing for four quarters on the road, finding a balance on offense, and a scouting report on the Mustangs.

These two are a contrast in styles. Laramie is No. 3 in passing offense in Class 4A, while Natrona County wants to run the ball, where they average 105 yards per game. Defensively, the Mustangs allow over 100 yards fewer per game than the Plainsmen (252 vs. 355) and give up only 15.4 points per game compared to LHS at 30.4 points per game.

Natrona County has won 19 straight over Laramie on the football field. It is also NC’s Senior Night.
