East Sweeps LHS Volleyball

On the one week anniversary of Laramie sweeping Cheyenne East in three straight sets, the Lady T-Birds were hungry for revenge.

Set one went 23-25.  Laramie jumped out to a 1-0 lead, which was tied and overtaken by East.  The Lady T-Birds built a 9-16 advantage at one point.  Laramie would rally back and hold a narrow 23-22 lead, however East took 2 of the last 3 points.

Set two was dominated by Cheyenne East 16-25.  The Thunderbirds scored five of the last seven points in the big win.

Set three went 20-25.  The score was tied five times, the last of which at 10-10. East went on a 9-1 run in the middle of the set to propel them to the win.

Laramie drops to 3-3 in conference play and 7-15 overall.  East improves to 3-3 in the 4A East and 16-8 overall.

Next up for Laramie is another conference matchup against Cheyenne Central Thursday, October 3rd.  Varsity game time is scheduled for 6:00 pm.  Catch the action on AM 1290 KOWB.
