The general election was only two days ago, and it is still fresh in the minds of many Americans. The next president of the United States is decided by the Electoral College System, which divides electoral votes to states based off of population. Those electoral votes then go to a presidential candidate based on the given state’s popular vote. While President Obama did win both the electoral vote and the popular vote, many predicted Mitt Romney would win the popular vote with Obama winning the electoral votes. With the possibility of a president being elected without the popular vote, which was the case in the 2000 Presidential Election, we want to know what you think of the Electoral College System.
