CVVFD Open House a Success [AUDIO & PHOTO GALLERY]
The Centennial Valley Volunteer Fire Department held their annual open house fundraiser this weekend, and after adding up the checks, it seems to have been a success.
According to CVVFD Secretary Nancy Taft, more than $16,000 were raised Saturday, largely due to contributions for the 183 donated items up for silent auction bid. There were also 175 donated items available through raffle tickets, which helped raise money as well with more than 1800 tickets sold.
Additionally, people who went for the free food and drink consumed 10 cases of water, 8 cases of soda and a total of 482 plates of food (roast pig).
