Crashes, Other Incidents Cause I-80 Traffic Jam near Laramie
Traffic is backed up and moving slow on both the westbound and eastbound lanes of I-80 between milepost 326 by Vedauwoo and milepost 330 on the east side of the I-80 summitt.
A Wyoming Highway Patrol dispatcher said I-80 is not closed, but that a number of incidents contributed to the slow moving traffic in that area. The dispatcher said a car had run out of gas earlier in the day on I-80 and traffic had to be diverted around it. The dispatcher said semi-trucks parked on the shoulder on the interstate were also causing traffic to slow.
The dispatcher said a number of minor crashes contributed to the traffic jam, as well as residual traffic from the closure earlier today.
