The City of Laramie will be hosting their Spring Cleanup Day on Saturday, April 22nd. Laramie residents will be able to dump their trash at various locations in town. The landfill will also waive fees during the cleanup day.

Although the basic landfill fees will be waived, standard fees will still apply for items like commercial waste, dead animals, tires, refrigerators, etc. The landfill will operate from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Safety vests and trash bags for the cleanup will be made available from 7:30 a.m.- 9 a.m. in front of City Hall. Cleanup will start at 8 a.m. and run until noon. During this time, solid waste trucks will be stationed at various locations in Laramie for residents and volunteers to dump their garbage.

Solid waste trucks will be stationed at the following locations:

Washington Park (at 20th and Rainbow)

Wal-Mart parking lot

30th and Armory

Park and Shop parking lot

Snowy Range Road at Fillmore Street

Dumpsters can be found at these locations:

Carroll Drive

Optimist Park at Spruce Street

The former LHS building (Reynolds side parking lot)

23rd and Spring Creek

Boswell Drive

Volunteers who do not have access to the dumpsters or waste trucks may leave their full garbage bags on the street and call 307-721-5285 to collect the bags.

Free lunch will be provided for Cleanup Day volunteers from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fire Station #1, located on 4th Street.

Last year's cleanup day had 480 volunteers, and saw over 900 vehicles at the landfill. If you would like to volunteer for this year's cleanup, please contact the Laramie Chamber Business Alliance by calling 307-745-7339.
