Budweiser is putting its focus on America's military heroes this Fourth of July. They've committed to raise $2 million this summer to support the Folds of Honor Foundation (FHF), an organization that provides post-secondary educational scholarships for families of U.S. military personnel killed or disabled while serving their country. Keep reading to see the different ways Budweiser is reaching out.

  • From Memorial Day through the Fourth of July, Budweiser is featuring limited edition Patriotic Cans at retail to raise awareness for FHF and its mission. Budweiser is donating a portion of all sales through July 10 to FHF.
  • The Fourth of July weekend continues Budweiser's "Here's to the Heroes" home run program. For the duration of the 2011 MLB season, Budweiser is donating $100 to FHF for every home run hut. So far this season, this program has raised $210,000 for FHF.

  • Consumers can get involved by visiting Budweiser on Facebook for more information or texting HERO to 80888 to make a $5 donation (billed to your mobile phone) to the organization.
  • Since its creation in 2007, FHF has provided more than 1,600 scholarships to recipients across the country. FHF is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that salutes the sacrifice of fallen and disabled service members by ensuring their families are not left behind. It was founded by Major Dan Rooney, a former F-16 Fighter Pilot with the Oklahoma Air National Guard, PGA Professional, and USGA member. Maj. Rooney has served three combat tours in Iraq.

It's important to remember our military heroes every day, but especially on the day when we celebrate the freedoms our nation enjoys. While we can never replace the loved ones lost, Budweiser's support of our effort will expand our mission to help these deserving families.
    -Maj. Rooney
