The weather has finally taken a turn for the better but the issue of snowmobiles in Yellowstone National Park will be addressed this week.Two meetings as well as two web based meetings also known as webinars are scheduled this week to discuss the future number of snowmobiles that will be allowed in the park.

Almost a month remains for a proposal that would restrict the number of snowmobiles allowed in the park each year. The National Park Service will be conducting two webinars as well as hosting two actual meetings this week.

The first of the two actual meetings will be held on Tuesday the 21st in Lakewood Colorado at the Sheraton and the second will be held at the Daughters of The American Revolution headquarters in Washington, D.C on Thursday June 23rd.

The wedinars are scheduled for Tuesday at 12pm Mountain Time and Wednesday at 5pm Mountain Time. You can find out more about the webinars by clicking here.

The proposal would vary the number of snowmobiles allowed in Yellowstone National Park between 110 and 330 daily. Public comment on the issue will be accepted through July 18th.
