CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming officials are asking a judge to dismiss a lawsuit over office space the state is renting out while the state Capitol is being renovated.

The Worland-based Voss Family Limited Partnership claims the state fell more than $930,000 behind on rent payments. Since 2015, the partnership has been leasing out part of a Cheyenne building for temporary office space for the secretary of state, state auditor and state treasurer.

Wyoming officials claim in court documents they're not behind on payments but say the partnership is disregarding building improvements the state has made. They claim they're withholding rent until Wyoming is reimbursed for the work.

Neither side has commented publicly on the case.

The $300 million renovation project is scheduled to wrap up in 2019.
