Wyoming Man Wins South Dakota’s $10,000 Powerball Prize

One Wyoming man is the lucky winner of South Dakota's $10,000 Powerball prize. On Wednesday, Rickey Thorpe of Greybull, WY won the game's third prize drawing of $10,000 by matched four of five white balls and the Powerball.

Thorpe bought his lucky ticket at a store in Custer, SD. The store will also receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The odds of winning South Dakota's $10,000 Powerball prize are about one in 723,000. Powerball is played in a majority of the states as well as in the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. This Saturday's jackpot is for $30 million.
