The Wyoming Legislature wrapped up the 2011 General Session Thursday at the State Capitol in Cheyenne. Since the start of the session on Jan. 11, a total of 432 bills were introduced and 204 of those bills passed according to the Wyoming Legislative Service Office. 

A release from the office shows the Senate introduced 160 bills and 101 of those bills passed in both the house and Senate while the House introduced 272 bills with 103 of those garnering the approval of both bodies. Legislation which passed both has either been signed or is waiting to be signed or vetoed by Governor Matt Mead.

In addition, the Wyoming's supplemental budget bill was signed by the Governor Wednesday.  The bill includes $255,999,860 in new General Fund spending, $221,374,714 in federal funds and $243,568,839 in other funds for a total of $720,943,413 in state spending through June 30, 2012.

Lawmakers will begin their interim committee work in the coming weeks. The Legislature's Management Council finalized interim committee topics Tuesday.  The Wyoming Legislature encourages the public to participate in interim activities. The public can use the Legislature's Web site to find information about interim legislative committees.

Wyoming's Sixty-first Legislature will convene again beginning Feb. 13, 2012 for a 20-day Budget Session.
