Wyoming High School Girls Swimming Scoreboard: Aug. 26-27, 2022
A new season for girls’ high school swimming and diving begins this weekend around the state.
The defending state champions are Laramie in Class 4A, while Green River and Lander tied for the title in Class 3A last year.
Three venues will be hosting meets over two competition days to start the 2022 season. That’s Gillette, Lander, and Rawlins.

Saturday, Aug. 27:
BRUCE GRESLY PENTATHLON IN LANDER – Buffalo, Cody, Jackson, Kemmerer, Lander, Powell, Riverton, Sublette County, Worland
Cody's Tara Joyce won four of the five swim events. Powell's Emma Mitchell won the breaststroke race, and Olivia Maertens of Buffalo won diving.
GILLETTE PENTATHLON – Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne South, Green River, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Natrona County, Newcastle, Sheridan, Thunder Basin
Cheyenne Central finished 1st in the team standings, and junior Izzy DeLay won the overall pentathlon. Central's Brinkley Lewis won the diving.
RAWLINS PENTATHLON – Cheyenne East, Douglas, Evanston, Lyman, Rawlins, Rock Springs
Payton Yost of Douglas finished first in the Rawlins Pentathlon. Douglas also took first in the team race.
