2022 Wyoming High School Girls Swimming and Diving State Championships At A Glance
The 2022 Wyoming High School Girls Swimming and Diving State Championships are this weekend in Laramie.
The Laramie High School Aquatics Center will host the championships over three days. The Class 3A Championships are on Thursday and Friday, followed by the Class 4A Championships on Friday and Saturday.
CLASS 3A:
Teams Participating = Buffalo, Cody, Douglas, Evanston, Green River, Kemmerer, Lander, Lyman, Newcastle, Powell, Rawlins, Riverton, Sublette County, Worland
Co-Defending Champs = Green River & Lander shared the title in 2021 – the first tie in state history
Returning/Defending Event Champs = 200 medley relay – Green River; 200 freestyle – Tara Joyce, Cody; 50 freestyle – Tanith Smith, Green River; Diving – Kami Jensen, Powell; 100 freestyle – Tara Joyce, Cody; 500 freestyle – Courtney Clark, Green River; 200 free relay – Lander; 100 backstroke – Tanith Smith, Green River; 400 free relay – Green River.
There will be a new champion in the other three events.

Thursday: Diving Prelims & Semis, 2:00 p.m.; Swim Prelims, approx. 3:00 p.m.
Friday: All Event Finals, 10 a.m.
CLASS 4A:
Teams Participating = Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Jackson, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Natrona County, Rock Springs, Sheridan, Thunder Basin
Defending Champ = Laramie (won the last 5)
Returning/Defending Event Champs = 200 medley relay – Campbell County; 100 freestyle – Chayse Schierkolk, Kelly Walsh; 500 freestyle – Ashlyn Mathes, Laramie; 200 free relay – Campbell County; 100 Breaststroke – Skye Rehard, Campbell County; 400 free relay – Laramie
There will be a new champion in the other six events.
