The University of Wyoming football team will seek their third straight win when the host the TCU Horned Frogs on Saturday, Nov. 5 at War Memorial Stadium. Both teams are currently undefeated in Mountain West play.

For the Cowboy's, it's the most significant conference game they've played late in the season in over a decade as the Pokes go for their first ever 3-0 start in MW play. For the two-time defending MW champion Horned Frogs, it's a chance to extend their 20-game conference winning streak as they compete in their final year as a MW team.

Both Wyoming and TCU enter the game with potent offenses, averaging 430.0 and 430.9 yards of total offense per game, respectively. Their effectiveness is most likely in part due to the balance both offenses offer. Wyoming averages 187.9 yards rushing and 242.1 yards passing per game while TCU averages 207.3 yards rushing and 223.6 yards passing this season.

The offensive similarities only continue when you look to the fact that both teams hand the ball off to three running backs. For the Cowboys, its Alvester Alexander, Ghaali M and Brandon Miller. For the Horned Frogs, it's Waymon James, Matthew Tucker and Ed Wesley.

On the defensive side, neither team is reaching preseason expectations. The UW defense gave up The Cowboys have seen numerous position changes in search of a dominant defense, and came up big in the fourth quarter last weekend, shutting out San Diego State.

TCU has allowed 40 or more points twice this season for the first time since 2004. The Horned Frogs defense got off to a rough start against Baylor, but seem to be fitting more into the typical Gary Patterson mold in the last three games, finding 10 takeaways and finally starting the same 11 players in back-to-back games.
