Round 6 of the National Finals Rodeo wrapped up to be a great night of action. Bobby Mote won the bareback riding  with a huge ride on Classic Pro Rodeo’s great horse Wise Guy for 87 points.

The steer wrestling keeps getting more interesting and the team roping got really good tonight. It was extremely fast with 5 times in the 3 second range.

In the bronc riding Tyler Corrington of Hastings, Minnesota won his first round even after overcoming a hand injury which made him have to put one of his fingers through his rein.

The barrel racing is very interesting after tonight’s round with Lindsay Sears following Sheri Cervi in the average by just 25/100ths of a second. Brittany Pozzi leads the World Standings with $171,000 Lindsay Sears is in second at $149,000 and Sheri Cervi is just under $1,000 behind her. The final 4 nights will prove to be very interesting.

In the bull riding it was Chandler Bownds winning his second round. He’s stayed on two bulls and won the round both times.  During the intermission he was also presented the buckle as the 2011 Resistol Rookie of the Year.
