Williams Sentenced to Probation for LSD Possession

A Laramie man convicted of trying to deliver LSD will avoid prison time if he successfully completes the term of probation to which he was sentenced Tuesday in Albany County District Court.

Kristian Williams, 19, was sentenced to four years of supervised probation in place of a suspended three- to six-year prison sentence with credit for time served and ordered to pay a $1,000 fine after pleading guilty to one felony charge of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance LSD.

Court documents say Williams was charged after a confidential informant told police they could buy LSD from Rondo Biggs and conducted two controlled buys under the supervision of agents with the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation.

Police executed a search warrant on Biggs’ apartment and found over .3 grams of LSD in a bottle in Biggs’ refrigerator.

Biggs later told police that he had bought LSD from Williams on three to five prior occasions and then traveled to Colorado twice with Williams to purchase LSD and marijuana.

Williams admitted in a police interview to arranging the purchase of the LSD found in Biggs’ refrigerator as well as using some of that LSD on June 30.

“You deserve to go to prison for selling illegal drugs,” Donnell said in court Tuesday. “That’s the end of it.”

Prosecutor Kurt Britzius recommended probation as part of the plea agreement, citing Williams’ lack of felony history.

“I can’t help but emphasize the recommendation… of in-patient treatment,” said Britzius.

Defense attorney Vaughn Neubauer agreed, saying that Williams knows he has made some wrong turns but has the support of his family.

Donnell accepted the plea deal, but made it clear he would not give Williams another chance.

“The fact of the matter is you earned prison time,” said Donnell. “If you come back here again, Mr. Williams, you’re going to go away.”
