The Wyoming High School Activities Association (WHSAA) Board of Directors on Tuesday decided that the State Football Championships will be held in Laramie for the next three years.  Wyopreps was in attendance and says:

"Although Sheridan’s proposal was better financially, according to Ron Laird (WHSAA Commissioner), the board felt that the University experience, and a chance for the players to finish their football season, on the same field where the big boys play, was what won out. A vote count was not kept on the decision, however the board felt that the vote was not even close."

Laramie and the University of Wyoming been the host for all five state championships the past two years.  Previously the highest seed in each class would host the championship.
