Wyoming is continuing to see more  energy projects coming its way. Wyoming's vast landscape and plentiful resources have started turning the heads of many energy companies and with the help of Governor Matt Mead the Energy Industry is beginning to boom in the state. A Boise based company is hoping to start work on reservoirs near Medicine Bow, northern Carbon County and Glenrock.

Wyoming is well known for wind and wide open spaces. The nation is continuing to develop more efficient ways of producing power and Wyoming has many attributes that energy providers are looking for.

Just years ago the sight of dozens of wind turbines was fairly uncommon. Now wind farms are beginning to show up all around the state. Wind is an efficient and much cleaner way to provide power to the state and the nation and provides an increase in jobs for Wyoming residents.

Gridflex, a Boise based company is hoping to begin work in the coming years on hydroelectric pumped-storage facilities. The facilities will be near multiple reservoirs around Wyoming and will provide an alternative when wind turbines are not generating power.

The companies plans were discussed on Tuesday at a Wyoming Infrastructure Authority meeting in Cheyenne. In years to come, Wyoming may be at the top of its game when it comes to providing cleaner and more efficient power.
