The plans are still in development, but a businessman is developing an energy park in northern Colorado that could provide infrastructure to support the Niobrara oil play in southeastern Wyoming.Craig Harrison of Fort Collins Colorado is the developer and he says the park could provide between 200 to 400 jobs once it is completed.Commissioners in Weld County Colorado have already approved the plans for the park. It would be a large energy park covering 640 acres and would be located between I-25 and U.S. Highway 85 in northern Colorado.

Integrating different energy sources, the park would include a natural gas processing plant, a data center and a 200 acre solar farm. According to Harrison twenty companies have inquired about buying land in the park but no committments have been made in regards to moving in.

It's another move in the energy industry that may have a significant role in Southeastern Wyoming.
