WATCH: Wyoming River Surfing is a Thing

Until I saw this video, I did not know that river surfing was a thing. It's obvious that I need to get out of the house more.

I naively thought that surfing required an ocean. What was I thinking? This new video shows some sweet rapids and a dude on a surfboard. After checking out an international surf magazine called "Riverbreak", I learned this guy is not alone. They have an entire section of their website devoted to river surfing in Wyoming.

It looks like the Wyoming part of the Snake River is one of the prime surfing spots in our state as Surfer Magazine filmed an entire movie there.

Paint me surprised. National Geographic named the "Lunch Counter" on the Snake River near Jackson as one of the best river surfing spots in America. Nice.

I'm guessing this wouldn't end well if I tried it on the North Platte. Fact.
