The new WyoPreps Coaches and Media Volleyball poll has only two small changes this week.

Two teams in Class 4A trade spots, while a tie in Class 2A is broken. No new teams enter the rankings.

Laramie, Mountain View, Riverside, and Cokeville remain the top-ranked teams in the four classifications.

The change in Class 4A is at the bottom of the top five. The Lady Plainsmen received eight of the ten first-place votes to stay at the top. Kelly Walsh holds onto second with one first-place vote. Cheyenne East remains third. The Thunderbirds also receive a first-place vote. Natrona County climbs one spot in this week’s balloting into fourth. That pushes Evanston down to fifth.

From Class 2A, Riverside is a unanimous choice for No. 1 for the fourth consecutive poll. The Rebels earned all nine first-place votes. Sundance holds onto second for another week despite a loss to Big Horn last week. The Rams are third and remain only three points behind the Bulldogs in the voting. The slight change this week has Moorcroft alone in fourth, while Rocky Mountain is now fifth, instead of last week when the Wolves and Grizzlies were tied for fourth.

There are no changes in 3A or 1A.

Mountain View keeps No. 1, where the defending champion Buffalos have been all season. Lyman remains second. Lander did get one first-place vote, but the Tigers are still third. Buffalo and Pinedale are fourth and fifth, respectively. It’s the same teams in the same spot for the fourth straight set of rankings.

The Cokeville Panthers receive eight of the 12 first-place votes to stay atop the 1A poll. They are followed by Kaycee, Upton, Little Snake River, and Southeast. The Buckaroos and Rattlers each earn two first-place votes. Upton is only six points behind Kaycee in the voting.
