A wildfire which officials say was human-caused is now mostly contained in Sublette County as firefighters continue to mop up hot spots.

The Tannerite Fire was reported at 70% contained Tuesday evening. It remains at an estimated 1,340 acres in size.

First reported shortly before 1 p.m. Saturday, the fire is located near Boulder Lake south of Pinedale. The Sublette County Sheriff's Office said over the weekend that the blaze started due to someone using exploding rifle targets, though officials are still investigating the cause.

Evacuations which were implemented Saturday have since been rescinded, and Burnt Lake Road is expected to reopen Friday morning.

Helicopters and air tankers were used to fight the fire as ground crews contended with hot, dry conditions ideal for fire growth.

No injuries have been reported in connection with the fire, and fire managers have not reported any homes lost.
