Tannerite Fire

Helicopters and air tankers were used to fight the fire as ground crews contended with hot, dry conditions ideal for fire growth.

Single-engine and large aircraft have been dropping retardant on the fire as ground crews focus on securing the fire perimeter.

There are still restrictions on some backcountry areas.

While a number of homes and other structures are threatened, no primary residences have been burned.
