Wind chills as low as 25 below zero are expected in Cheyenne and Laramie overnight, according to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.

Wind Chill Advisories are in effect for most of southeast Wyoming and the northern Nebraska Panhandle starting at 5 p.m. this afternoon through 8 a.m. Thursday.

Wind gusts in excess of 65 mph were also seen along Interstate 80 from Elk Mountain to Cheyenne.

The National Weather Service Wind Chill Advisory is issued when conditions are expected to be severe enough to threaten human life if precautions are not taken.
