The Wyoming Cowboys remain winless on their home field after losing to #21 Boise State 45-14 on Saturday under Interim Head Coach Pete Kaligis. After the game was tied at 7-7 early in the second quarter, the Broncos took control and scored 31 straight points for their seventh straight victory.

Brett Smith watched from the sideline as Wyoming lost to Air Force, 28-27, during homecoming in Laramie on Saturday. It was the Cowboys fourth loss this year by seven points or less, and they remain win-less (0-3) at home in 2012.

The Border War was only a battle for the first set as the Colorado State volleyball team beat Wyoming 25-22, 25-13, 25-13 on Friday night in Fort Collins.

It took just over an hour for the University of Wyoming volleyball team to notch their second straight win at the UniWyo Sports Complex. The Cowgirls beat CSU-Pueble 25-11, 25-14, 25-12.

Today the NCAA revealed the punishments it has put on Penn State University following a child sex abuse scandal in which university officials including former head coach Joe Paterno hid to protect themselves from bad publicity. NCAA president Mark Emmert and Ed Ray, the chairman of the NCAA’s executive committee announced the sanctions at a news conference this morning.

We don’t know if recently fired University of Arkansas football coach Bobby Petrino is moving on, but we do know he’s moving out.
