The 10th Anniversary Always A Cowboy 8k run and 5k walk will be at Undine Park in Laramie this Saturday, Sept. 10 at 9:00 a.m. Raceday registration is available for $25 at 7 a.m. University of Wyoming cross country coach Randi Cole and Steve Kaiser from Gem City Bone and Joint came onto Sportsline Live with David Settle and Steve Kiggins.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial on the National Mall in Washington D.C., has officially opened to the public. The memorial will be formally dedicated on Aug. 28 — the anniversary of his 1963 “I Have a Dream” speech — and will cap a five-day celebration that could draw as many as 250,000 people.

The "Memory of the 8 Memorial Run/Walk" will be on Friday, Sept. 16 in honor of the University of Wyoming cross country runners who died in a car accident 10 years ago on Sept. 16, 2001: Morgan McLeland, Cody Brown, Kyle Johnson, Josh Jones, Justin Lambert-Belanger, Kevin Salverson, Nick Schabron and Shane Shatto. The Memorial Run/Walk is scheduled to begin in Gillette, Wyo. at 5:00 p.m.
