LaPrele Park

The Parks Department says that the goal of the playground replacement is to replace aging equipment and improve the safety and function of the playground.

Tanner Hyde started his plan in the fall of 2018. After presenting his plan to the Boy Scouts’ Eagle Scout Board and the City of Laramie, he worked his plan. After a week of labor at the site, the project is near completion.

While earning his Eagle Scout Rank, Tanner’s last requirement was to spearhead a large service project for the community. Love for his sisters is what motivated him to tackle the LaPrele Park/Huck Finn Pond accessibility.

Feezer emphasizes that there are no plans to euthanize or harm the beavers.

The 45th annual Huck Finn Fishing Derby presented by Townsquare Media is Saturday, July 25th at La Prele Park in Laramie.

The playground on the east side of LaPrele Park will be closed on Wednesday, February 11, 2015.
