Former Wyoming Highway Patrol Trooper Franklin Ryle intended to kill a driver and stage an accident that would either injure him or kill Ryle’s wife.

A 32-year-old Cheyenne man has been sentenced to four to eight years in prison for pointing a pistol at a man and threatening to kill him.

Police say the victim is now in stable condition.

Two Cheyenne residents are facing federal charges after allegedly kidnapping a woman, taking her to Colorado and shooting at her.

The jury found Travis Bogard, 25, guilty of one count of first degree sexual assault. The jury ruled he was not guilty of the kidnapping and confinement charge.

Franklin Joseph Ryle, Jr., is serving his sentence at the Seagoville, Texas, Federal Correctional Institute.

Flint Harrison later killed himself in jail.
