Cheyenne Man Gets 4-7 Years for Robbery

A Cheyenne man has been sentenced to four to seven years in prison and ten years of probation for his role in a kidnapping and robbery in December 2015.

According to court documents, 21-year-old Timithay Turnbow and two other men lured Zacherie Gooden to a Cheyenne apartment where they proceeded to tie him up and beat him as part of a plan to rob him.

Turnbow was initially charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated kidnapping, aggravated kidnapping and aiding and abetting aggravated robbery involving bodily injury, but his charges were lessened to kidnapping and robbery as part of a plea deal.

Laramie County District Court Judge Thomas Campbell also recommended Turnbow for the Youthful Offender Program. If he graduates from the program, Turnbow could get out of prison early and serve the remainder of his sentence on probation.
