Both Laramie High School basketball teams made the championship game at the 2014 Cabela's Holiday Shootout in Sidney, Nebraska with victories in the semifinals Friday night. The Laramie Lady Plainsmen held off Central City, NE 40-34, while the Laramie Plainsmen downed the host Sidney Red Raiders 63-52. Today's games will be online only.

Andy Pearson scored 14 points and Tye Brown added 12, as the Laramie Plainsmen picked up their first win of the season Thursday with a blow-out 70-35 victory over Hershey, Nebraska in their first game at the Cabela's Holiday Shootout in Sidney, NE. LHS utilized a 22-0 run in the first and second quarters to take control of the game.

Jacqui Pulley scored a career-high 21 points to help the Laramie Lady Plainsmen to a 40-30 victory over Hershey, Nebraska in their opening game of the Cabela's Holiday Shootout in Sidney, NE on Thursday. Laramie led by one at the start of the fourth quarter and pulled away to give the Lady Panthers their first loss this season.

A strong second quarter helped the Laramie Plainsmen defeat the Windsor (CO) Wizards 64-55 win Friday afternoon. After suffering their first loss of the season Thursday night to Greeley Central in the Greeley Boys Basketball Invitational, the Plainsmen bounced back and will play for the Consolation Championship in the tournament.

Laramie High School AD Takes Transportation Position
In a strange twist of events, as of Wednesday, Laramie High School no longer has a full-time Athletic Director. Former LHS AD Jeff Lewis was asked and has accepted a move to be the Albany County School District Director of Transportation. The move was made at the request of Superintendent Dr. Brian Recht. Lewis began his new position Wednesday, while current Laramie High School Principal Kim Sorensen takes over as the "acting" Athletic Director.
