A temporary bridge opened Thursday on U.S. Highway 85 in Lusk to span the Union Pacific Railroad, according to a news release from the Wyoming Department of Transportation.
Several businesses and homes suffered flood damage in Rock Springs, Wyo. Tuesday night after a storm pummeled the town with nearly two inches of rain in less than an hour.
The Laramie River remains in minor flood range Wednesday, rising above 8.2 feet.
According to the National Weather Service, the water level may crest at 8.3 feet later today. Anything over 8 feet is considered flood stage.
