Laramie residents joined together to honor the anti-fascism protesters who were injured during the protests in Charlottesville and to stand in solidarity against fascism and white supremacy yesterday, Aug. 26.

The night began with speakers including Rihanna Kelver, Shayna Lonoaea-Alexander and Amanda Barnes and concluded with a candlelight vigil and a moment of silence.

"This is a global issue and it's one that needs to be stopped," Barnes said during her speech. "In 2017, white supremacy has no place in civilized society and that's it."

The vigil and rally was followed by an after party at 8 Bytes Game Cafe, where attendees were able to make donations to charitable organizations.
