Dezz Ramos 3-pointer with 1.1 seconds left helped the San Jose State Spartans beat the Wyoming Cowgirls 67-66 Wednesday night in Laramie.

Wyoming (9-6, 2-3) failed to seal the win. The Cowgirls missed two free throws in the final 21 seconds. They blew an 11-point lead with five minutes left and dropped their second straight.

Ramos scored the last nine points for the Spartans in the final 1:41. She finished with a game-high 26 points.

San Jose State (6-10, 4-1) shot only 39 percent in the game, but they did hit at 55.6 percent clip in the second half. The Spartans held a 48-38 edge in rebounding that led to 17 second chance points. They also scored 44 points in the paint and 17 points off Wyoming turnovers.

The Cowgirls had four players in double figures led by Marquelle Dent with 20 points and seven assists. Marta Gomez and Liv Roberts each had 14, while Natalie Baker added 12 points. UW shot 42.6 percent from the field, but committed 14 turnovers.

Wyoming will host New Mexico Saturday in their only meeting this season. Game time is at 2 p.m.
