Why does the street sign at 11th and Kearney say Custer?

Answer:

"It appears that someone not associated with the City of Laramie switched the sign for their own reasons. Occurrences like this have happened in the past for unknown reasons. The situation was remedied the same day we learned of the issue. The city would like to emphasize that removing and relocating signs for what appears to be a prank could be disastrous for those needing emergency assisstance."
