Yellowstone National Park Rangers have continued searching for the grizzly bear responsible for killing a 59 year old Michigan man last week. The trapping of grizzly bears for scientific research is also underway in the park this week. The research might help identify which bear killed John Wallace of Chassell ,MI.

A grizzly bear is responsible for yet another death in Yellowstone National Park but officials have yet to find the one responsible. 59 year old John Wallace's body was discovered approximately 5 miles from the nearest trailhead. In efforts to trap the bear rangers have set traps around the area in hope to capture and kill the bear.

The attack on Wallace was the second of the year in Yellowstone National Park. In July a female grizzly who was with her cubs attacked a California couple, killing the man. Actions were not taken for that bear due to her cubs and officials don't believe that the female grizzly is responsible for last weeks attack.

Rangers this week will also be resuming the trapping of grizzlies in the park for scientific research. Rangers hope that the research conducted will help identify which bear was responsible for last weeks attack. The Interagency Grizzly Bear Study Team is beginning their regularly scheduled fall research season today and will finish on October 20th.

The trapping will begin near Yellowstone's Hayden Valley and continue in several other areas throughout the park. Areas where trapping is taking place will be clearly marked and park visitors should take notice of posted signs and keep out of those areas.
