A fresh sausage making class will be taught in Laramie on Wednesday, September 24 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Professor Warrie Means, a meat scientist with the University of Wyoming Department of Animal Science, will teach the secrets of making fresh sausage.

Warrie will begin by discussing both meat and non-meat ingredients. The class will then move to the meat lab where everyone will make sausage using elk and domestic meats.

Samples of the sausage products that are made in class will be evaluated at the end.

The class will be held in the Animal Sciences Building in room 104 on the UW campus. The Animal Science Building is north of Willet Drive on 19th Street across from the Arena Auditorium.

Cost of the class is $5 per person. Space in the meat lab segment is limited, so please reserve with Cole at 766-3782 or cehmke@uwyo.edu.
