This year's Safe Treat on  the University of Wyoming campus on Oct. 31 promises to be a fun time for Laramie residents and their families.

Eric Webb, Executive Director of Residence Life and Dining Services and the Wyoming Union, says this year’s event is set to be the biggest year ever, thanks to help from more sponsors around campus.

Webb said last year safe treat was scaled back due to budget challenges and was only hosted by the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts. This year, Webb said, the event is hosted by the Wyoming Union, the Washakie Center, Fraternity and Sorority Row as well as the Performing Arts Center.

Webb said at the Washakie Center, there will be 12 tables for trick-or-treating, games and activities.

“This will be fairly similar throughout,” Webb said.

Safe Treat will kick off at the Performing Arts Center from 3 to 5 p.m. and will continue at the Wyoming Union and Fraternity and Sorority from 4 to 6 p.m. It will end at the Washakie Center from 5 to 7 p.m.

The event is free and open to all school-aged children and their families.
