U.S. Rep. Ron Paul announced he will run for president in 2012 through an appearance on ABC's "Good Morning America" Friday morning. This is the 75-year old Texan's third bid for the presidency. Paul ran in 1988 as a Libertarian and had an unsuccessful campaign for the Republican nomination in 2008. The Huffington Post says Paul's reputation in Washington as a longtime basher of government spending and federal overreach has earned him the nickname, "Dr. No".  

Paul was the second republican to enter the 2012 presidential race this week, following Newt Gingrich's YouTube announcement on Wednesday. The guest appearance by Ron Paul on "Good Morning America" was made from New Hampshire, which is usually a key state in the early primaries. Check out both videos below.
